Fields: Configure ILS Defaults
Configuring ILS defaults allows you to specify which subfield in the Symphony 999 or Horizon 949 tag corresponds to data that you want to isolate in the child search field. You can specify the subfield and default value for any child record data (such as item or copy information) isolated by a child search field. By default, Portfolio maps specific search fields to specific data in the Symphony 999 and Horizon 949 tags. If there is no search field that corresponds to the data in a particular subfield, Portfolio ignores that data. You can add additional search fields that correspond to subfields that are not already mapped.

If you add or edit a search field, or if you configure the ILS defaults for a child search field, you must re-index your data and refresh the Discovery search cache. Your changes are not reflected in Searching or the Admin console until you refresh the search cache. Search Field
Displays the name of the search field for which you are configuring the default setting for how the ILS should handle item information.
ILS Item Default
Specifies the type of ILS information for which you are configuring default subfield settings. The ILS Item Default that you choose should correspond with the Symphony or Horizon item information that you are mapping to any child search fields.
You can choose these options:

Subfield
